This event was conceived by Angela Marc Salon's owner Cheryl Pniewski after she watched the video "Shuttin Detroit Down" starring Kris Kristofferson and Mickey Rourke, A cancer survivor, Cheryl has hosted a number of fundraisers for cancer-related causes. However, the video inspired her to create an event to benefit her struggling Macomb County neighbors.

Our Successful Fundraisers . . .  

• We raised money for a young local girl who was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer, neuroblastoma ...We are still accepting donations to help with her ongoing treatment. 
• October was National Breast Cancer Awareness....We donated 15% from all Retail Sales...proceeds to Benefit Cancer Research.  We also supported other Breast Cancer groups.  Busy month for our giving back to the community...helping out Team Angels by purchasing a table and advertising in their pamphlet.
• Susan G. Koman 3-Day For the Cure Breast Cancer Walk....We are involved with helping one of our Special Clients raise $2,200.00 so she can participate in this great fundraiser for Breast Cancer.  We are collecting now for her.  We will soon have information so you can send money to her account...if you are one of our clients we are collecting daily so if you are in your checks can be made out to 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk...or we have a collection jar for cash.  Remember if you write a check it is tax deductible.   Thank You for your Help...
• We have already contributed to Locks of Love, an organization that supplies wigs to children with diseases that cause hair loss.
• We have had clients cut their hair and donate to Wigs4Kids,  a Michigan-based company...so if you are checking out websites check out theirs too.  
• Continued involvement with Locks of love...
• Our service providers contributed their time with gift certificates for two cancer organizations one for adults and the other for children. We gave a gift basket full of pampering products and services.
• Our owner Cheryl participated in a Muscular Dystrophy fund raiser where they actually told her she would be arrested and her bail was set for $1300.00.  Good news is she made bail and with the money she raised two kids got to go to camp!
